La revista de la Asociación de Investigación de Industrias de la Madera AITIM acaba de publicar dos números especiales dedicados a una selección de los mejores proyectos de arquitectura en madera realizados el pasado año, seleccionando el proyecto del Aula ambiental en el Parque de Can Zam para formar parte de esta recopilación.

 

The magazine of the Spanish wood industry research association AITIM has published recently two special issues dedicated to a selection of the best timber architecture projects of last year, selecting the project of the modular environmental classroom in the Can Zam Park to be part of this compilation.

La guia d'arquitectura contemporània On the road city. Barcelona publicada fa uns mesos per Forma Edizioni, es presenta el proper dilluns 21 d'octubre al COAC amb la participació de la seva autora Chiara Ingrosso, historiadora de l'arquitectura de la Università Vanvitelli. 

El llibre recull dos dels projectes més significatius de l'estudi a la ciutat, la Biblioteca Sant Gervasi-Joan Maragall i l'edifici d'Oficines per la Tresoreria de la Seguretat social a Ciutat Vella. 

L'acte comptarà també amb la intervenció de diverses personalitats de l'àmbit institucional i docent col·laboradors d'aquest projecte editorial així com l'assistència dels socis co-fundadors del despatx David Baena i Toni Casamor.

The contemporary architecture guide On the road city. Barcelona published a few months ago by Forma Edizioni, is presented next Monday, October 21 at the Catalan Architects Chamber COAC with the participation of its author Chiara Ingrosso, historian of architecture at the Vanvitelli University.

The book includes two of the most significant projects of the study in the city, the Sant Gervasi-Joan Maragall Library and the Office building for the Social Security Treasury in Ciutat Vella.

The event will also include the intervention of various personalities from the institutional and teaching sector who have collaborated with this editorial project as well as the assistance of BCQ's co-founding partners David Baena and Toni Casamor.

La revista rusa d'arquitectura SPEECH ha dedicat al seu últim volumen un extens reportatge al Centre Cívic Can Clariana Cultural, projecte de l'estudi finalitzat el 2017 al barri del Congrés i els Indians de Barcelona. El número és un monogràfic sobre els centres cívics, on també s'han analitzat sis projectes internacionals, entre els quals el projecte de rehabilitació d'aquest antic teatre de barri com a sala polivalent i centre comunitari. Situat entre edificacions residencials de maó, l'equipament es planteja com un volum unitari i senzill, que cedeix el protagonisme a l'activitat social i cultural que es viu a l'interior vista a través de les grans obertures de la façana principal. 

La revista rusa de arquitectura SPEECH ha dedicado en su último volumen un extenso reportaje al Centro Cívico Can Clariana Cultural, proyecto del estudio finalizado en 2017 en el barrio del Congrés i els Indians de Barcelona. El número es un monográfico sobre los centros comunitarios, donde también se han analizado seis proyectos internacionales, entre los cuales el proyecto de rehabilitación de este antiguo teatro de barrio como sala polivalente y centro comunitario. Situado entre edificaciones residenciales de ladrillo, el equipamiento se plantea como un volumen unitario y sencillo, que cede el protagonismo a la actividad social y cultural que se vive en el interior vista a través de las grandes aberturas de la fachada principal.

The Russian magazine of architecture SPEECH has dedicated in its latest issue an extensive report of the Can Clariana Cultural Community Center, a project completed by the studio in 2017 in the Congrés and Els Indians district of Barcelona. The volume is a monograph on community centers, where six international projects have also been analyzed, including the rehabilitation project of this old neighborhood theater as a multipurpose hall and civic center. Located between brick residential buildings, the equipment is considered as a unitary and simple volume, which gives way to the social and cultural activity that is lived inside viewed through the large window openings of the main façade.

Són l'edifici d'oficines de la Tresoreria de la Seguretat Social a Ciutat Vella, la Biblioteca Joan Maragall a Sant Gervasi i l'espai Can Clariana Cultural a Sant Andreu. 

The Italian architecture magazine Area, includes three projects by BCQ in its section of architectural contemporary itineraries dedicated this time to Barcelona. These are the office building of the Social Security Treasury in Ciutat Vella, the Joan Maragall Library in Sant Gervasi and the Can Clariana Cultural community center in Sant Andreu.

The façade of the Joan Maragall Library in Sant Gervasi in Barcelona is one of the cases chosen by JANSEN to illustrate the international catalog of steel profile systems. The Swiss brand gave a personalized solution to the curtain walls of the light courtyards designed with large windows.

El projecte va consistir en la construcció del nou CAP, un senzill volum unitari emplaçat ortogonalment respecte l’edifici existent i la rehabilitació de l’antic edifici existent.

The Primary healthcare center Dr.Pujol i Capsada at El Prat de Llobregat has just been published in the book I·Hospital & Welfare by the Archiworld specialized publishing house based in Korea.
The project consisted of the construction of the new PHC, a simple unitary volume placed orthogonally with respect to the existing building and the restoration of the old building.

'Innovative Architecture Strategies', per l'arquitecte i professor Simos Vamvakidis, presenta una sèrie d'estratègies de disseny contemporani, diverses i innovadores que varien en forma, funció i finalitat, totes elles mostrant un enfocament alternatiu o experimental del concepte mix-use tot combinant espai privat i públic. El capítol dedicat a la construcció de cobertes com a places públiques s'il·lustra per la Biblioteca Joan Maragall de BCQ com a referència i antecedent d'obra construïda.
El llibre ha estat publicat per BIS Publishers en la sèrie Studentbooks.

BCQ ARQUITECTES GUANYA EL CONCURS DE LA BIBLIOTECA DE VICBCQ AWARDED WITH FIRST PRIZE FOR THE NEW LIBRARY OF VIC

El resultat del concurs convocat per l'Ajuntament de Vic pel nou equipament cultural, situat al solar de l’antiga caserna de la Guàrdia Civil, va ser donat a conèixer ahir per l'alcaldessa de Vic Anna Erra. Al concurs es van presentar inicialment 56 propostes de les quals 5 vàren quedar finalistes.

La proposta presentada amb el lema "arbres, llibres, boira i record", proposa un edifici que es desplega a un jardí obert a la ciutat, amb volums que s'articulen i es disposen per crear espais diferenciats dins de la nova biblioteca, i amb l'especial voluntat d’integració amb el seu entorn urbà més immediat.

Els ciutadans veuran un nou jardí i una biblioteca oberta, l’activitat interior de la qual serà perfectament visible des del carrer. 

La proposta planteja també que el jardí, a part de ser un espai de relaxació i descans pels usuaris de la biblioteca, sigui un jardí de memòria, un espai commemoratiu amb deu grans arbres que recordin cada una de les víctimes de l’atemptat de l’any 1991. 

The result of the competition organized by the City of Vic for the new cultural center, on the site of the former Guardia Civil station, was released yesterday by the Mayor of Vic Anna Erra. 56 proposals were submitted initially to the competition, from which the jury selected 5 finalists.

The preliminary project submittetd under the motto "trees, books, fog and memory", proposes a building that deploys towards a garden open to the city, with volumes that articulate and arrange to create differentiated spaces within the new library, following a special desire for integration with its immediate urban environment.

Citizens will see a new garden and an open library, which interior activity will be clearly visible from the street.

The proposal also lays out that the garden, apart from being a place of relaxation and rest for the library users, will be a garden of memory, a commemorating space with ten large trees to remember each one of the victims of the terrorist attack in 1991.

La notícia de la publicació britànica destaca l'eficiencia energètica així com la innovació en els materials emprats en el projecte, actualment en construcció. El nou espai urbà es convertirà en una porta verda a la ciutat. El nou Pont de Sarajevo serà energèticament autosuficient a través de plaques fotovoltaiques que generen l'energia que consumirà la nova il·luminació, exclusivament per leds.
Els paviments seran fosforescents a base de formigó fotocatalític, un material autonetejant que absorbirà les substàncies contaminants de l'aire.

The news of the british magazine highlights the energy efficiency and the innovation in the materials used in the project, currently under construction. The new urban space will also become a green gateway to the City.
The new Sarajevo bridge will be energy self-sufficient through solar panels that generate the energy
consumed by the new lighting, exclusively by leds.The new pavement will be phosphorescent using a photocatalytic concrete, a self-cleaning material that absorbs air pollutants.

THE BOOK "PLANS I PROJECTES FOR BARCELONA 2011-2015" PUBLISHES TWO PROJECTS OF BCQ ARQUITECTES  

 

El llibre recopila i avalua els plans i projectes de transformació de Barcelona portats a terme entre el 2011 i el 2015 pel govern municipal. Dintre d'aquest marc han estat realitzats per BCQ Arquitectes la Biblioteca Sant Gervasi Joan Maragall i l'actualment en fase de construcció Pont de Sarajevo.
La publicació ha estat editada i coordinada per l'Ajuntament de Barcelona des del Departament d'Hàbitat Urbà per Vicent Guallart, i ha comptat amb la col·laboració de l'equip co-editor Ricard Gratacós – Carles Bárcena.

The book compiles and evaluates the transformation plans and projects of Barcelona carried out between 2011 and 2015 by the municipal government. Within this framework are the two projects developed by BCQ Arquitectes: the Library Sant Gervasi-Joan Maragall and the currently under construction Sarajevo Bridge.
The publication has been edited and coordinated by the City Council's Department for Urban Habitat by Vicente Guallart, with the collaboration of the co-editor team Ricard Gratacós - Carlos Bárcena.
