El festival d'arquitectura 48H Openhouse Barcelona ofereix aquest cap de setmana la visita a dues obres de BCQ, l'edifici de Dotze Habitatges socials a l'Av.Caritg de Badalona i l'aula de natura Aula K al Parc de Can Zam a Santa Coloma de Gramenet, aquesta última guiada pels autors.

Aquest esdeveniment és la cita anual que durant dos dies apropa els ciutadans a l'arquitectura a través de la visita de portes obertes a edificis i espais representatius de Barcelona.

Este evento es la cita anual que durante dos días acerca los ciudadanos a la arquitectura a través de la visita de puertas abiertas a edificios y espacios representativos de Barcelona.

The 48H Openhouse Barcelona architecture festival offers this weekend a visit to two BCQ's works, Twelve Apartments building on Avinguda Caritg in Badalona and the Aula K environmental classroom at Parc de Can Zam in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, this last led by the authors.
This annual event brings citizens closer to architecture for two days through the open-door visit to buildings and representative spaces in Barcelona.

La conferència, que s'emmarca dins la sessió sobre conservació i preservació del patrimoni edificat, tindrà lloc el dimecres 16 de maig a les 18h, durant el congrés d'homenaje a l'arqueòleg Dr.Alberto López Mullor celebrat a la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

David Baena, autor del projecte de rehabilitació del Castell de Sant Genís de Rocafort, i Pablo del Fresno, en nom de de Sistemes de Gestió de Patrimoni SCCL i el Centre d'Estudis Martorellencs, parlaran de l'Arqueologia de l'arquitectura aplicada a les esglésies de Santa Margarida i Sant Genís del Priorat a Martorell.

PARTICIPACIÓ DE DAVID BAENA A LA SETENA EDICIÓ DE GRANDES PROYECTOS DE ARQUITECTURA BARCELONA - GRUPO VIADAVID BAENA PARTICIPATES AT THE 7TH EDITION OF GRANDES PROYECTOS DE ARQUITECTURA BARCELONA - GRUPO VIA

David Baena ha presentat dos dels últims treballs en marxa de BCQ a la darrera edició de Grandes Proyectos de Arquitectura Barcelona, esdeveniment organitzat per Grupo Vía, que aquest dimarts 21 de novembre ha reunit a una selecció de nou despatxos de la ciutat per compartir els seus últims treballs en curs tant dins com fora de la capital catalana. 

Un dels projectes exposats pel soci fundador de BCQ va ser el futur Hotel Bitágora en Viladecans, un nou hotel quatre estrelles superior de 12 plantes i 204 habitacions que comptarà amb espais d'ús comercial en el conjunt Bitàgora al costat del Parc de la Marina i el Viladecans Business Park. El volum del nou hotel es planteja com un volum icònic que no obstant això, és permeable en planta baixa doncs podrà ser travessat comunicant l'espai urbà amb el parc. 

Per altra banda es va presentar també l'últim concurs guanyat de l'estudi, la Nova Biblioteca Gabriel Ferrater a Sant Cugat del Vallès. Aquest edifici es planteja semienterrat sota el parc amb una organització senzilla en horitzontal a través d'una planta principal i una planta primera o altell, i amb la coberta enjardinada, el que converteix la biblioteca en un edifici especialment sostenible i que permet mantenir així l'espai verd existent. 

David Baena has explained two of the latest BCQ works in progress in the last edition of Grandes Proyectos de Arquitectura Barcelona, ​​an event organized by Grupo Vía, which this Tuesday November 21, has brought together a selection of nine offices in the city to share their latest works both inside and outside the Catalan capital.

One of the projects presented by the founding partner of BCQ was the new Hotel Bitàgora in Viladecans, a new four-star superior hotel with 12 floors and 204 rooms that will have commercial use spaces in the Viladecans Bitàgora complex, next to the La Marina Park and the Viladecans Business Park. The volume of the new hotel is considered as an iconic volume that, nevertheless, is permeable on the ground floor, because it can be crossed communicating the urban space with the park.

On the other hand, the last competition won by the studio, the New Gabriel Ferrater Library in Sant Cugat del Vallès, was also featured. This building is planned underground in the park with a simple organization in horizontal through a main floor and a first floor or mezzanine. With a landscaped roof, it makes the library a particularly sustainable building that allows to maintain the existing green space too.

Aquest cap de setmana 8 i 9 de Juliol David Baena co-fundador de BCQ arquitectura barcelona ha participat en el programa de conferències i tallers del Simposi Beyond Sustainable Architecture and Smart City: Re-Humanization of Urban Spaces a Tokio. Organitzat per EUNIC Japan (European Union National Institutes for Culture) i a través de l'Institut Cervantes de Tokio, el Simposi ha girat entorn al paper de l'arquitectura i l'urbanisme en el futur de les ciutats, analitzant les diferents problemàtiques a les que aquestes s'enfronten actualment com el creixement i la revitalització econòmica, l'energia, l'ecologia i la tecnologia, la immigració i la política, per a finalment aconsseguir el benestar i la felicitat dels seus habitants.

This weekend, the 8th and 9th of July, David Baena co-founder of BCQ arquitectura barcelona has participated in the program of conferences and workshops celebrated at the Beyond Sustainable Architecture and Smart City Symposium: Re-Humanization of Urban Spaces in Tokyo. Organized by EUNIC Japan (European Union National Institutes for Culture) and through the Cervantes Institute in Tokyo, the symposium focused on the role of architecture and urban planning in the future of cities, analyzing the different problems that these are currently facing such as growth and economic revitalization, energy, ecology and technology, immigration and politics, to finally achieve well-being and happiness of their users.

La Piel del edificio es el tema de la Jornada de este jueves 27 de abril, organizada por la revista de construcción Promateriales dentro del programa Jornadas Proarquitectura de este año.
Manel Peribáñez, socio del estudio BCQ, hablará de la experiencia a través de diversos proyectos del despacho que han destacado por el diseño, los materiales y la técnica de la envolvente para cumplir con la función de proteger térmicamente y de la humedad, elemento clave para la iluminación del interior además de constituir una seña de identidad del edificio en equilibrio con su entorno.
The Skin of the building is the theme of the Seminar next thursday April 27th, organized by the building magazine Promateriales within the Proarquitectura program events of this year.
Manel Peribáñez, partner of the BCQ studio, will talk about the experience through various projects of the firm that have stood out for the design, materials and technology of the envelope to comply with the function of protecting thermally and against humidity, key element regarding light to the inside, in addition to being a sign of identity of the building in balance with its surroundings.

L'arquitecta Maria Taltavull sòcia de BCQ Arquitectes va participar ahir a la Jornada de Grupo Vía Arquitectura para la Rehabilitación per explicar el proyecte de rehabilitació de l'Espai Felip II al Barri del Congrés i els Indians de Barcelona.
L’espai Felip II és un antic teatre de barri de mida mitjana que amb el pas del temps ha quedat obsolet. Aquest espai de l'Associació de veïns adquirirà un nou ús com a teatre i sala polivalent per a esdeveniments per a tota la ciutat, guanyarà una segona planta amb el canvi plantejat a l'amfiteatre i recuperarà una major presència en el seu entorn fugint de l'actual imatge camuflada entre edificis. La Rehabilitació d'aquest espai representa una oportunitat notable per actuar des de punts de vista tals com l’economia de medis, l’eficiència energètica, la flexibilitat i la durabilitat. El projecte es troba actualment en fase de construcció.
The architect and BCQ's partner Maria Taltavull participated yesterday at the Day of debate Grupo Via Architecture for Rehabilitation to explain the rehabilitation project of Espai Felip II at the Congrés i els Indians quarter in Barcelona.
The Espai Felip II is a local old theater of medium size that has become obsolete with the passage of time. This space of the neighborhood Association will acquire a new use as a theater and multipurpose events hall for the entire city, it will win a second floor with the change proposed in the amphitheater and will gain more presence in their environment escaping thus the current image camouflaged by buildings. The rehabilitation of this space represents a significant opportunity to act from perspectives such as the economy of means, energy efficiency, flexibility and durability. The project is currently under construction.

MANEL PERIBÁÑEZ, BCQ, EXPLAINS THE REHABILITATION OF THE PHCC DR. PUJOL I CAPSADA IN SANT COSME IN THE FORUM MODERNIZATION AND REHABILITATION OF HEALTH CARE CENTERS 2015

El  último foro profesional Modernización y rehabilitación de centros sanitarios organizado por Grupo Vía en Barcelona, analizó las claves, tendencias y principales trabajos recientes y en marcha a través de las ponencias y el posterior debate que tuvo lugar entre los participantes.

Desde BCQ arquitectes, Manel Peribañez, explicó la ampliación y reforma del CAP Dr.Pujol i Capsada en el Prat de Llobregat. Un trabajo de rehabilitación integral que dota al barrio con un equipamiento de socialización y dignificación del entorno, liberando un gran nuevo espacio público, la Plaza del Agua, que acoge la nueva entrada principal y una arquitectura blanca y sobria que intenta dejar de manifiesto la importancia de la actividad que se da en su interior.

The last professional forum Modernizationand rehabilitation of Health Care Centers organized by Grupo Vía in Barcelona, analyzed the keys, main trends and recent and running works through the talks and the subsequent debate that took place among the participants.

From BCQ arquitectura barcelona, Manel Peribañez, explained the extension and rehabilitation of the Primary Health Care Center Dr. Pujol i Capsada in El Prat de Llobregat. An integrated rehabilitation work that provides the district with sanitary facilities of socialization and dignity of the environment, releasing a big new public space, the Plaza del Agua, hosting the new main entrance and a white and sober architecture that tries to make clear the importance of the activity that occurs inside.
