David Baena, soci co-fundador de BCQ Arquitectes, ha estat convidat per formar part del jurat del 2n Concurs de disseny Arquitectes per l'Arquitectura per a joves arquitectes i estudiants d’arquitectura.
Arquitectes per l’Arquitectura conjuntament amb Jung Electro Ibérica, S.A. convoquen el concurs d’idees d'enguany que planteja el desenvolupament i adaptació d'uns antics blocs d’habitatges -coneguts popularment com a edificis Tupolev- a les noves realitats i demandes socials. Aquest conjunt residencial construït als anys 60 al litoral barceloní, viu, com d'altres àrees, la pressió immobiliària que està fent fora els antics veïns per tal de poder oferir lloguers d’alt rendiment o fins i tot apartaments turístics il·legals.
Des d'AxA i en col·laboració amb Jung Electro Ibérica, S.A., es vol abordar la millora de la qualitat de vida dels habitants d’un dels blocs a través de la domòtica, posant especial èmfasi en els serveis i ajudes a la gent gran. Dependència, eficiència energètica o seguretat són els temes capitals a abordar.

Architects for the Architecture, together with Jung Electro Ibérica, SA, announce year's ideas competition dealing with the development and adaptation of some old housing blocks -known popularly as Tupolev buildings- to new realities and social demands. This residential complex built in the 60s on the coast of Barcelona is suffering the real estate pressure that is throwing out the old neighbors in order to provide high status rents or even illegal tourist apartments.
From the AxA association in collaboration with Jung Electro Ibérica, SA the competition wants to tackle the improvement of life quality of the inhabitants of one of the blocks through home automation tools, with special emphasis on services and assistance for the elderly. Dependence, energy efficiency and security issues are the capital subjects.
